The policy of JRC Seafarers Training Centre applies to all aspects of the seafarers training center, including the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of mandatory maritime training and certification programs for the seafarers. It encompasses the training of seafarers at various levels, compliance with international and national maritime standards, and the enhancement of customer satisfaction through effective quality management practices.

JRC is dedicated to delivering exceptional maritime training that equips seafarers with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required for safe and efficient operations at sea. The commitment to quality is demonstrated through the following principles:

  • To engage with our stakeholders, including trainees, employers, regulatory bodies, and industry partners, to gather feedback and foster collaborative relationships that support the quality objectives.
  • To enhance customer engagement through social media in order to provide timely, accurate, and valuable content to our audience, ensuring responsive and personalized interactions that reflect our dedication to quality and innovation.
  • To adhere to all relevant maritime regulations and standards, ensuring our training programs are aligned with the requirements set by the Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW), International Maritime Organization (IMO) and other regulatory bodies.
  • To commit to the continuous improvement of the training programs, facilities, and services. To review and update training materials, methodologies, and processes to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the training on a regular basis.
  • To prioritize the needs and expectations of the trainees, shipping companies, and other stakeholders. We aim to provide training that is relevant, up-to-date, and tailored to the evolving demands of the maritime industry.
  • To ensure that instructors and staff are highly qualified and continuously develop their skills and knowledge. To provide ongoing professional development opportunities to maintain high standards of instructional quality.
  • To promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility in all our training activities. The programs emphasize safe practices and sustainability, preparing seafarers to contribute positively to the maritime industry.
  • To expand the reach and accessibility of maritime education.

 

Continuous improvement:

  • JRC shall encourage a culture of continuous improvement of QMS where employees are motivated to improve their processes and responsibilities;
  • Implement PDCA (Figure 1. Plan, Do, Check, Act at QUALITY MANUAL) cycles to regularly evaluate and improve the QMS.

 

The Deputy Director of „Jūrininkų Rengimo Centras“ has developed the quality policy, which is presented and discussed during the comprehensive orientation training provided to all new employees. Additionally, it has been reviewed with all existing employees. It is expected that all employees understand the implications of the quality policy on their respective roles or positions within the organization. The policy is prominently displayed in various locations throughout the facility.
